A spud running from kidds with cannons on the hood. Buy Hooker headers when it's time. I'm only refering to the air cleaner when i say set up.

No.
This section is for hobbies, in specific. Anything other than a hands-on hobby usually gets the boot. This would be a hands-on hobby related topic, so it's fine here.

So back on topic, could someone help me with this intake thing? Do I need the entire intake system kit, with the filter and ram tube. If so, how do I attach this to the carb? I thought these were only for fuel injected vehicles with MAF sensors.

Take the air filter off and take some good pictures of you carburator, the outside and the inside please. To take it off there is a nut of some kind on top in the center. Should be finger tight.

Ok, what you have there is a standerd Motorcraft (made by Holly for Ford) 2 barrel. Any air cleaner made for a 2 barrel Ford carburator should fit fine. You mentioned a ram tube??? The air cleaner is held on by the center bolt, hell you took it off.
Here is what i had in mind for you. It will work much better then the open element one you have now. As long as it's for a 2 barrel, the auction didn't say, you would have to use the ask seller a question and ask him/her if it's for a 2 barrel. If you was to win this auction, the chrome lid you have allready will probly fit it if you didn't want the writing.

They hook up to the front of the grill, ram air. But they don't have to be hooked up, that air cleaner will work fine without them being hooked up to the grill.
At least that carb has been rebuilt, thats a major plus!

This sounds like a perverted name, but they are really cool. Get a purple hornies performance muffler, the exhaust note is unlike any other, and it sounds so, so cool.
