For a spark plug you would have to hook it up to a car battery and those flint ignitors how well do they work and how much do they cost

A mate of mine uses a spark plug!!
All he dose is screw it into the arse of his metal combustion cannon, disconnects one of the terminal leads running of his distributor on his ole suzuki swift,
sets it up on a try pod, aims!!!,
Then starts the car, and um BOOOOM! Spud relocation program complete.
Simple and effective operation wthout the mess of fuss.
I sapose there could be a way of doing it with out the car but that requires a solinoid capasitors and wireing and yeah to much effort at the end of the day!

Just use a BBQ sparker. I have used those for my entire spudding lifetime from everything from simple combustions with one, two, and three gaps, to hybrids up to 4x fueling.
Wire them to a sparkstrip with multiple 1/100" gaps, (those are not as small as you think, and you can either use a feeler gauge or a spark-gapping tool to space them correctly). Some experimentation will tell you how long you can make such a strip.
