Me and my friend had to do it. The process is simple, but it usually takes two people, (to make it go quicker), and some basic tools.

First, you need to chamfer both ends of the pipe. This can be done with a Dremel tool or you can take the pipe to a pipe supply and have them chamfer it. Hint: don't use a battery powered Dremel tool.

Second, priming it is easy, but you need to put some tape over the point where the coupling will stop, and some rags won't hurt as well. This will keep primer from getting all over the F'ing place. Second, you don't need a paint-roller, but you do need a larger brush. You also need a lot of glue and primer.

After getting glue applying, somebody grabs the coupling, and the other person grabs the pipe. They push them together and twist in opposite directions. This is the only way you're going to get the pipe to twist, so just do it. After you get it all the way pushed together, (takes a lot of force), hold it there for a full minute. Thirty seconds is too short, and the coupling will back out off the pipe. If you can, get a quicker drying cement.

Found an end cap but not ready to go w/air yet.
Winter is here in the north east, need a project.
My boat is in my yard stored for the duration of winter's ocupation.
I use the 6" PVC on the boat as a live well to keep my tuna baits alive.
2-3 blue fish in each tube. Water pumped from one to the other,in series,
then drain over the side. Hose on barbed fittings at both ends.

the lowes near me now carries 6" pipe but it is DWV. Is it still safe for a combustion.

It has to have a pressure rating in psi.
