I think this is a great idea. Easy way to spread knowledge throughout the forums as well as great entertainment (aka damage vids). Also to show off your cannons

Why don't we just start the chat nights up again instead?

Podcast is an interesting idea, though I don't really see a reason for it. Who's going to watch it besides us, and why would we watch it? We see all the discussion here. You'd have to come up with something that can't be done on this site to convince me it was worthwhile.

Might be best if we start with the chat nights or skype convo's again. You could probably use Ventrillo for those gamers out there

Well for those that know and may or may not care, I believe I am the resident podcaster/internet radio dude. I have a full studio in my house for internet radio, and a full production studio offsite that is for any audio/video manipulation. If anyone is interested in sending in videos I can incorporate anything into my current show or if it expands enough start a show dedicated entirely to spudgunning, but i would love to dedicated time in my show to spudgunning. I was actually gonna do a show tonight but don't have any content if anyone wants to call up or whatever pm me right now and we can do some stuff about spudgunning i can even do 3way calls. so if you want either pm me right now or you can got to my website in my signature and email me there!!!!

Forgive my noobness, but what's Ventrillo?

Personally i've never used it, but it's like skype but for gamers.
You know Counter Strike right?
Well in CSS clans they have 'scrims' which is like versing another clan in CSS. They can get pretty serious so to discuss tactics and stuff they have team meetings to talk to each other, using ventrillo. I think it's like a MSN where you speak, so similar to skype.
Most clans you have to have a headset otherwise you can't scrim because it's faster to speak then type, makes the game more realistic and during game it helps with tactics and such.
And no I don't play CSS

WOW no idea people cared so much,
@mrcrowly I was thinking about podcast maker
"No. It's dumb, theres not enough content to discuss if the aim chat nights ever taught you guys anything.
Plus, Itunes is retarded. As are ipods.
What about us with other mobile media devices?"
Ok to respond to that Itunes is just a front to distribute an active rss feed once it is up and running feel free to retrieve the videos with any rss retriever you would like, and put them on any mobile device you would like to use.
@pimpman If people do not mind having there voices out on the internet then an option like
http://www.thebasementventures.com/free ... ncing.html would do just fine, any number of people call a number, they can all talk, its totally free, and it can afterwards be downloaded as an mp3.
BUT if it were to be a radio show biggrib would be more suited to produce it, like others have said I wouldn't mind listening to some of the more innovative people here.
@benstern & paaiyan (yes its teamspeak) At first I wasn't really intending these to serve the same purpose, I assumed if any people were talking it would be about the featured cannon. If those events were a success by all means we should bring them back weather or not the "podcast" works out. I was hoping that the podcast would be slightly more official and structured.
@crowly some of us don't have ventrillo:P
@biggrib I assumed I had found out enough to produce a modest podcast, you do have the experience. wether or not that I necessary it will always be helpful and apritiated.
So did I leave anyone out?

Well one every two weeks would have a lot to talk about, just not sure if there's much point in talking about it.
We could start out using a teamspeak/skype type thing where we just talk what ever, then we'll see how that goes and if there's much point for a podcast.
I'd be keen either way.

well i would download a podcast but it would have to be one of the windows formats not one of apple's (because i have a toshiba gigabeat which i obtained off ebay because we don't have them in the uk) and i'd be up fo a cannon related chat although it would have to be text because i have no mic

and one slightly related thing, does anyone use/ has anyone noticed the chat thing at the top?

Yeah, we used to use it a fair bit, have a convo every now and then. Then something happened and we forgot about it

The main reason it ended is because not enough people simply were on AIM during a certain time frame. It is hard to be the coordinator when you are not given anything to work with.

is there any difference between AIM and windows messenger? and yes i can see that being a problem for me as i am in the uk and the majority of spudfiles members are american
