What about making your own? I was thinking about this actually in relation to the now locked "pollution" thread, does your ammo actually have to be spherical for your specific gun, or could it be cylindrical/bullet shaped?

There's a thing you can buy which makes briquettes for your fire out of newspaper HERE

If you made up a simple mould, perhaps a bit of your barrel tubing blocked at one end, then mash up some newspaper, perhaps add a tiny bit of flour and water paste to it, and then compress that into your tube with a rod, let it dry and voila your own 6mm ammo.

I'm sure you could even make roughly spherical ammo but you'd need a more complicated moulding system.

Ummm.. I'd pretty much want it to bb's lol, as im making a cloud, and bbmg's eat a ton of ammo. I might look around for some cheap 6mm ballbearings, when i make more of a semi automatic rifle.

*cries* What is a gun without ammo =[

A platform to mount a bayonet?

Correct me if I'm wrong but couldn't you just order plastic ball bearings(of said size) from an Australian plastics company? I can't see why the feds would give you any trouble over strictly "manufacturing purposed" products.
