Well it's up to him, but if his undeveloped brain can't cope with a few words of wisdom over the internet, I don't think he can man up and apologise.
Seriously when you get flamed or yelled at on the internet, you need to realise it's only the internet. A simple name change makes you a whole new person to most people.
Think of it as a nightmare, wake up and it's over. Wake up and realise words over the internet mean very little and just get over it.
