yeah i don't have a clue how it equates to penetration its just the one thing i know how to work out  and its also pretty interesting t0 compare the momentum not just power and velocity of things there no need to be 'mean' about it

Been thanked: 1 time

ALI on the other hand you could get very good results with 3/4" ball bearings becasue of their higher mass...

If I understand all of this correctly a flechcette round would be the best in terms of penetration becasue of its high crosssectional density ?

I have a lot of problems with ammo... it seems that there are no marbles that have 14 - 15 mm... and I can't buy cheap ball bearings anymore - unless I buy like 2000 or 10 000.... it would be nice if there was some spherical ammo cheaper than ball bearings and made of lead or some high density material.... :?

^ yes a flachette or dart would have the higest cross sectional density and better penetration unless its super light... but the ball bearing would be cooler to shoot if you wanted some cool damge... imagine shooting a 20mm ball bearing at a melon :D

.... unfortunatly i won't be doing that as my 400psi piston cannon project is on hold because of the price... and i want to buy a paintball gun :D
