Wouldn't pellets tumble ina smooth bore ? would they actually help with accuracy ?

Pellets that are "diablo" shaped (like a shuttlecock) were originally designed to work well in smoothbore barrels, hence the forward cetre of gravity and hollow tail, so if they're medium weight (heavyweights tend to have poor weight distribution for unrifled flight) they're pretty accurate without spinning.

I'll take a stand on both sides

I like the suggestion of darts for the barrel... I can see that working alright. In the meantime, while I search for darts, pellets should certainly provide a good alternative.

I'll look into that JSR.

If you can't find any darts, homemade paper darts are surprisingly accurate. Most people make them with nails rolled into the tips, and reinforced with more glue to withstand pneumatic pressures. I make them for my blowgun all the time, and they're a lot easier to make for lung-powered launchers.

It fires 20 gram (308 grains) tungsten dart (flechette) with muzzle velocity of 1450 meters per second (4750 fps). At 1000 meters this projectile will penetrate a 40 mm of RHA (rolled homogenous steel armour) and will result in serious secondary fragmentation effect behind the armour. That said, it will penetrate two walls of any modern APC at one kilometer range. The trajectory is very flat and does not rise higher than 800 mm above the line of sight when fired to 1000 meters.

I think it was the AMR that made shoot a 20g steel dart from my first piston cannon.
Darts work great (lighter ones though), I've shot quite a few carbon ones, and they are extremly accurate, but tend to get stuck into hard targets... I've had to break a few to get them out.
The other problem is multishot or auto loading, darts require long shells so more dead space and a higher chance of jaming...

In case you hadn't noticed, 360 is full circle, so you'd still be walking in the same direction.

Perhaps 360 means it's "revolutionary"... *Gets beaten up for bad pun*

360 is related to its maneuverability; its light weight and small size make it easy to navigate in any direction or angle, hence the 360 degrees. Maybe that doesn't make complete sense, but 360 is a sweet number, so I kept it.

Does anyone have a good method for making reliable darts for this type of barrel? Its 0.24" in diameter, if you didn't read the description. A few days ago, I tried shooting a BB through a filled water bottle from 10 feet away at 120 PSI, and it was not able to penetrate through the other side of the bottle. Is this to be expected with a projectile that is a plastic airsoft BB?

thats normal because water slows down the bb tremendously, i could barley pierce a filled bottle with my crossman pump pellet rifle.

Yes, plastic BBs have increadibly poor sectional density and as such will slow down too rapidly for effective penetration. Try lead pellets
