realy realy cool but it just looks like the sprinkler valves is restricting the flow alot

Alright guys, Ive been looking through all my pictures and I didnt transfer a all of my pictures. Unfortunately, among the ones on my old computer are most of my damage pics along with pics of my other cannons.

Needless to say, I'm not exactly thrilled. BUT, this gives me all the more reason to do some more shooting! Here are some more pictures I've found. Sorry for the lack of damage pics/videos guys i'll post em when I get em. I REALLY wanted to show yall that oil drum though...

Well I really did it now.

I broke both 1" male adapters coming from the tanks to the valves in a high-speed-move-of-dumassery (I dropped it on its side then fell on it.)

I was bringing it down from the attic to get some damage videos for yall and... tripped. No too bad right? Cut off those lovely bell reducers and make the switch to some couplers and bushings, and shorten the frame. Well since I decided to take this one apart anyway, I started that day. I have the tanks and barrel in storage for that day i get the itch to shoot some big stuff. But for now, I got a new project that I'll post up soon...

Worked out for the better, then! What's your cannon doing in the attic anyway? :P

They're not pressure rated, so they're even more unsuitable for pressurized pneumatic operations than PVC which is pressure rated. :)

What I said in 19 words, hubb summed it up in a single acronym. Blast you for beating me out! :)

Looks pretty rusted, not sure I'd trust it for what you're thinking of. :D

Yeah those tanks are pretty rough looking and have had rain water sitting in them for a few years. Bout the only thing I'm going to use them for now is a big BBQ pit/smoker trailer. Should be just as rewarding :D

hey i'm looking into building a pneumatic gun next, i just finished my propane injected cannon and now i want to experiment with air. I have seen a few different sprinkler valves at menards and I am just wondering what makes these so bad? Also what is a piston valve? Is it something you can buy or is it something you have to make? What are the dangers of the bell reducers? I have used them on some of my spray and pray guns. Are they a no no for pneumatics? Any information would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Not to sound cruel, but searching would help answer your questions efficiently. But, look for "Visually explained" for pistons (and yes, you build them generally). Same with Bell reducers, oyu'll find plenty of info on that. But basically they're not pressure rated, making them very unsuitable for pneumatic applications. It's not as big of a deal with combustion designs, but still unfavorable IMO.

The sprinkler valves you find at Menards aren't all that bad, but they're designed for different purposes than what we use them for, and need modifications to work better.

But yeah, search for each of these topics and I guarantee you'll find quite a few with more than ample information.

nice way of making it so one trigger can shoot both tanks at once
