That valve should be fine, you could use that in the low hundreds, (200 or less PSI.)

Well guys, that might be a good point but almost all of us started with a ball valve. This is his first so give him a break.

i started with copper and ball valve and now 4 years later i am about to build a 471ci hybrid :D

times change!


you can make a piston valve.

thanks dotson, I actually wanted to have a QEV to begin with, but couldn't find one anywhere...or didn't know what I was looking for...I wanted it done the second I got the idea to make it, so I got all my materials in the morning, was shooting by noon.

My 1st was 2 tennis ball canisters duck taped together, made it about 30 years ago.

Yeah, I saw your other thread after I responded to this one. QEV = better than sprinkler valve.

another question is how do I add a gauge to the cannon? more specifically, what's the easiest and cheapest way to add a gauge?

on a 1" barrel a 1" sprinkler is better than a 3/4" QEY.
