The point that most people seem to miss that that they're not going to live forever anyway. I had a PE teacher many years ago who never smoke or drank and was the epitome of healthy living, he died in an accident when the car in the opposite lane suddenly flipped into his.

Given the inevitability of death, not doing something because it might kill you is a farcical idea.

Well yes thats true... But in many situations maybe you should disist... Some things can make death long and painful... Smoking included (no offence)... And if you are at such a tender age as I am, there are many more things to live for. :)

I dunno, death is unavoidable but some ways to die are better than others. Frankly, cancer is pretty suck.

Either way, I doubt inhaling some epoxy every now and again will make much of a difference. You'd probably have to be working with it day in, day out.

Well, there is s 99.(9 repeating) chance that we will all die. It will happen to everyone, but some things can make it a lot more painful than it has to be.

It also seems like there is nothing around nowadays that won't give you cancer, but by the time I get it (if I do) there will probably be a cure.

I heard that deodorant can give you cancer because some have aluminum filler and it comes into contact with hose lobes er whatever.
bottom line use as much deoderant to hopfully prove them wrong.

And I'm in the infinitesimal percentage left over... :P

More seriously, even though I had relatives that have had very impressive lifespans - for example, one smoked 40 cigs a day and he lived to 80, and another was given 3 months to live from cancer, then she lived another 25... years - I wouldn't take to smoking myself, for so many reasons.

I don't feel like spending something like two thousand pounds a year to kill myself sooner - not to mention that it affects other things at the same time. Although I respect that others are fully capable of making their own decisions (and no disrespect intended), but I can't really see why people will give up their hard earned to enslave themselves to an addiction that will do them no real good.

Of course, Epoxy does have it's uses, so I won't suddenly quit ever using that, and I'm usually clad in all kinds of protective gear when working - dust mask, goggles, ear defenders, the lot - so that shouldn't really be a problem.

This may or may not have relevance but I hate when people say somthing is soooooo dangerous when people smoke or do drugs no offence to anybody who does these things and while somthing simple like walking into your kitchen can kill you. Just the other day my mother told me not to walk over to my friends hows to look at steel pipe 8) she said where I was walking that I could fall on a piece of twisted re-bar well there wasn't any twisted re-bar through the path I was walking on and she also thinks that I would get maulded by a coyote which there aren't any near the path it gets anoyying when you are limited by your worry wart mother.

Your mother seems to care about you, why's that so bad?

The real issue as stated above is the quality of life, not quantity. Doing incredible things like skydiving, which, if something goes wrong, could kill you in an instant, is way more pleasurable than dieing of cancer or colon failure. I would much rather die quickly in a car crash speeding down some windy country road with the windows rolled all the way down having a blast, than in a hospital having a triple coronary (sp?) bypass.
You get the point.

Die between the imposing yet somehow delicate thighs of a Russian prostitute with your pants around your ankles, that's my philosophy  :D

Russian prostitute? Sure why not -- if you're going to die there, at least the HIV/AIDS won't get to you first. :)

Well it's not that she bothers me because she cares about me but she can still be a little more allowing. Every year she said that next year I or in grade six which I am in that I could walk over to his house well this is the year yet she still isn't allowing me to.That's what bothers me that she can't trust me not to fall on twisted rebar or that there isn't any coyote's over there.
