Because by the time you bought the 10-32 output fittings (pretty expensive, I had to buy them for a small pneumatic cylinder before) and various fittings, it would be equal to or greater than the price of the Kobalt regulator.

And I don't know why people are still wondering about the price, it's been posted twice: around $85.00 US.
