That was for paying the economical damage, man the cops in the Dutch are bullshit with their stupid rules. But I'm sure I will continue with this hobby :D

hey maxus, how the bloody hell did you get that brass fitting off that soda stream c02 tank?

 I was waiting for someone to ask that.
In the end, I had to take it to my design and technology teacher and asked him to help me get it off. He stuck it in a metal working vice where the grip was slanted like this ///////////// in order to more effectively grip the sodastream bottle. He got a non-adjustable spanner that fitted pretty tightly over the brass end, now this spanner was already quite long, but he then went and got a length (50cm or so) of steel pipe and put it over the handle of the spanner and put all of his weight on it and it opened. It's just a question about leverage and grip. No way in hell will you ever open it either if your vice has grips like ||||||||||||||||| (because it will just slide), you will also never open it if you don't have a big enough lever.

Heheh.

Enough torque will open anything :D

However I've ruined the tips of many a screwdriver on stupidly tight bolts. Come to that the bolt heads didn't usually fare much better.

Yeah, I had that trouble the other day, it stripped the notches from the bolt so I'm screwed now. Sorry for the pun

I got one off with just a vice and a regular old adjustable spanner.
You bunch of weaklings...hahaha

Anyway. You must have noticed the similarities between our current projects.
Yours will function in a more direct and simpler way, wich should give you a more reliable cannon.
I just wonder...how will you connect the valve to the rest? Aren;t you going to tap it?
If not, you will have a lot of trouble on your hands.

I'm thinking of getting a hammer valve machined for me out of brass in the future, to make a revolver.
It will basically function just like yours..

9mm holes are a perfect fit for 1/8" fittings, I could swear that I mentioned that in an earlier post.
Anyway, only one hole is tapped at the moment, that's the one at the back. The Air Outlet has not yet been tapped, I will do that tomorrow.
What I didn't show on the rough diagram was the stock, and that all of this will be embedded in a stock made from either epoxy or a mixture of epoxy and fibreglass. So everything will sit inside the stock very nicely.

Lol, I don't understand, 1/8" threaded fittings are threaded, the holes are threaded...So I glue them in?

what did you use as a poppet in your valve?

im very interested in this, as i see opportunity for a VERY sexy cannon in my near future using this.

A poppet, are you sure you mean 'poppet'?
Stem?
Sealing Face?
Spring?
Ball bearing?
