Try a different fuel as well, I cant think of what else it could be, unless it is that the spark isnt hot enough.

hmm..it is a very very old piezo...like..years and years..it was from an old lighter at the lake house  , so ima try an almost brand new one. im also going to try some axe in it in a second

UPDATE: lol the axe wont even light(i tried different amounts, i know how much to use due to previous minis) ...maybe a sign of a bad piezo..ima trying a diff one...

Ok, I hope you get it working. If I may suggest an ammo, take a small piece of paper (around 2" by 6"), roll it into a cone until it fits into the barrel, then stick a needle(pretty much anything pointy and thin, I have also used t-pins, toothpicks, and sharpened coathanger pieces) through it. They can lodge a half inch or so into my bedroom door from about 10 feet, which is pretty good for one of these minis, I think)

man this is makin me mad..i put the butane hose right by the spark and it still doesnt even light..i put a new piezo in and it doesnt light..what the heck o_o

edit: to make the spark gap im using small screws....would the spark be hotter if i used something a lot thinner?

are you sure you have enough oxygen in the chamber to fire it? combustion = fuel + oxygen + spark. more often its beause there isnt enough oxygen and too much fuel

hey, try moving the spark away from the butane port, its possible the butane isnt mixing with the oxygen enough next to the spark (which is close to the where the butane comes in)
