)
Yeah sure.
BTW, Check your signature dimensions with the ones in the rules, I have a feeling the max is 400x100 and yours is over 500p long.

Thanks. It's tricky (the law). For example, I study muzzleloaders and BP guns sometimes. Which aren't considered firearms by the federal classification. However there are cartridge conversions avilable through Kirst or R&D cylinder conversions(for breech loaded cased shells). So I've studied that and another conversion .22 barrel sleeve for derringer .32 muzzleloaders.
Apparently, it's legal in USA to build your own firearm, as long as it's not full-auto and not a shotgun with less than 18" barrel.
But it's illegal to sell or transfer it. Tricky stuff but if the same type gun shot a pyro, then it would fall under pyro-technic laws (big difference). I was quite interested in CAS (cowboy action shooting) for a while and found a lot of legal info on those sites. Guess it'd be legal to do the pipe thing you mentioned with a bullet, but not to launch fireworks!! Stupid laws.

Ok
FishBoy wrote:hey guys, i was thinking about how the 4th is coming up, & figured I thought I'd start a thread of ideas for it, for everyones benefit. I'll put the first idea in, sparklers, stuck into the back of a potato in a combustion (would they light?)
EDIT: If you put enough, this will happen:

If it happens inside your barrel maybe you'll lose both hands, not be able to type more noob topics and have time to read the rules k3wl 2 Dx
Heck everything else is banned, why not get sparklers banned too.
There's only like 1000 posts on youtube for people to dumb to make something better.

well if you cant use fireworks use a pvc rocket with glow sticks and if you want some thing even better put a peice of plastic down the barrel cut open a lit glowstick and pour it down the barrel the effect is like a green glowing cloud

It's cool. Nobody else was perturbed.
It's a good topic, just the opening concept broke the rules IMO.
I'm just an SF'r like yourself. MrC. didn't mind and he's the boss.
My statement was sarcastic, I definately don't wish for any july4th accidents for anyone.(especially another SF'r)
One year near where I lived some marines were lighting m-80's and one fell into the whole bag and blew them both up for example.

The rough equivalent of that here is Canada Day, on the 1st of July.
Just to point out the legality of my design: the Cherry Bomb or Air Bomb, a legal consumer firework, launches a fused, flash powder filled shell from a cardboard tube using black powder as a propellant.
What I'll be making operates on the same concept, albeit improved a little: a fused, flash powder filled copper shell, fired to much higher velocity from a copper tube, using black powder as the propellant. The shells will have a longer fuse, about 5 times as much flash powder, and a green flare composition in the rear so we can see their trail.
The finale will likely be a 16" oxy/propane balloon, which is roughly equivalent to 40g of ETN in terms of noise, when done properly.
We don't celebrate Canada Day as much as the August long weekend, and that's when all the real fireworks will be fired off here. I'm not even going to discuss what we have planned for that show, because it'd be deleted.

That does sound sweet. Although may I suggest a cardboard shell?
