mate you should be fine, as crowley said, its not enough pressure to seal the valve. Just wait until tamorra, and then youll see if she really bangs loud

The 90 psi pressure rating is for... well I am not really sure about that (I know there is some reason), but you can take the blowgun (if it's like any that i've seen) well past 90 psi. I took one to 200 psi today, there was no problem, except that my rubber schrader valve blew up and made a huge bang. Those are only rated to 60 psi and I don't recommend taking them to 200 psi repeatedly.

I don't want to have you have misfire because your blowgun failed and piloted the sprinkler, but I feel confident using my own blowgun at high pressures, so use your judgement. Good luck!

How do i check if my pipe is pressure rated my chamber is made of 25mm DWV PVC and wiki says it can blow up at 1psi so what pressure should i take it up to?

also how do i read my own pipe for pressure ratings?

normally in bunnings and mitre 10 the pressure and non pressure rated pvcs are in different sections of shelves

Ouch. DWV. There are a few advocates of using DWV (or at least defendants) but I strongly think you should redo any section using dwv. It will make your entry into pneumatics a lot smoother. It sucks, but that is probably the best way.

If your chamber is Pressure Rated it wont be DWV.

It should either have a something like 'Class X'(e.g Class F) or PNXX(e.g PN15), if it has DWV on it, it's DWV and I wouldn't take it beyond 20psi.


If your chamber says: 25mm DWV PVC
Then it's DWV.

Did you pump the gun up again to test it? I hope it's been 24hours if you did.

Otherwise it's just stupid, you're risking a lot of money and even your own safety over a few hours.

it has not been 24 hours yet i am testing it tomorrow and before i test it i am testing each individual part like how my sprinkler is now working and i am going to put some epoxy over the exposed glue parts so i have 100% seal.

Is there any other options i can do tomorrow to make a better seal?


Okay i have a major question.... VERY IMPORTANT

my sprinkler valve is not working well...i put air into the chamber (not much) then i press in my pilot valve, yet nothing happens. No air is coming out of the barrel is this because i am using not enough air im only using my foot pump like 1-2 pumps. not going to use it to its full potential yet because i dont want it to break. Does this usually happen or is it just me? Do i have to put more air into it for it to work?
When you put air into a sprinkler valve does it push the diaphragm up then when i use pilot valve it exhaust? if so do i need enough pressure to push the diaphragm up? if so how much

lol you probably dont have enough pressure to make it work properly just wait and be patient !! lol just put it in your garage or what ever and leave it there until tomorrow and dont touch it in between now and tomorrow . lol sounds like me when i made my first sprinkler valve gun !!

hey all,
yeah i fired it today and painted it matte black (looks awesome) i also attached my laser sight. i built it so i can change barrels from 15mm to 6mm so i can shoot my bb's. It owned i shot it at a can with the 6mm and just went through it like nothing, then i shot it with the 15mm with a marble and the can now looks destroyed.

Before i make a showcase on my gun i might just make it only able to shoot through my 15mm barrel. Is this a good idea, shall i just make the gun to shoot 15mm? if so it will be hard because the marble is a bit smaller then my barrel and rolls around alot. Is there a way to keep the marble from falling behind my barrel and into my coupling?
