Actually, speaking only for myself here, I'm not at all cranky and stand by my comments. Frank gets kudos and the credit for running down the link and making the post something more than just useless.

I got two flowers to give, but he'll have to google them himself! 
Kind of funny, if the OP had been worded as a question, Like "I saw a pdf on rifling...anyone know where it is...it looked useful...?"
It would've probably been cool.
I Wonder if the link frankrede found was really the same one.

Thanks Carl! Those plans look like they are from the 1940-50's era...if not earlier.
If it's not copyrighted, we ought to find someone/site willing to host the whole thing and provide a link to it.

Genuine perhaps, but legitimate? Torrents are often file sharing without consent of the originating author.

The torrent is gone... could you accidentally lose a copy while passing by a site like rapidshare?
