I assumed u people would be serious, but i my self love joking so its ok. Ill borrow my moms 2000$ digital camara, i guess that will do... I am really proud of this gun, but i still need to install my bolt action... Its also an ugly gun cause i always alternate my colors, copper, alli, copper alli...

P.S. I think i have found my self a new hobbie, it involves lead and fire and things i do not need!

Oh and thank you for all your replies

I have done that many times, and I can assure you, I have never exploded in the process. Although, given it's me, I probably would have managed to survive it anyway.

You know, that would a good user name if you need a new one: jackspoliticallyincorrectsenseofhumour
Bit of an unwieldy acronym though. :P

@John bunsenburner: If you wanted serious, you joined the wrong forum!

And you will find spudgunning addictive. It's rule 84c of the internet, or so I'm told.

Well I guess I prefer this to my high school prinipal(he is an ***), so I am fine. Just woke up, I will write 2 or 3 essays before I get to my gun again.

P.S. I heard people make shot gun shot by pouring molten lead into a coolent, i have found it makes nice little shapes round on one end pointy at another...Do you Spud gunneres think it works as ammo? I am guessing it would be like a little tiny lead darts(they are maybe 1-2cm long)...

You are referring to "drop shot". Done "properly", it is very nearly perfectly spherical.

Drop shot is made using a "shot tower", see the link below.

Well will i work in an air gun?

Drop shot should work, meaning it WILL leave the muzzle, but it will not be stable, and individual trajectories would be a guessing game.

If you are planning a scatter gun, then you have no problem. :D

For reasonably accurate shooting with single projectiles, you need to look elsewhere for ammo.(Unless you happen to have a REALLY tall shot tower. )

OK one last question: I have three valves at home

1.ball valve, with spring operation
2.The valve i mentioned at the beginning
3. A nice little cheep blow gun for dusting things

Which one should i choose? in terms of opening time, accuracy, looks ect. I could of coarse build a socond gun, i have eanoth spare parts, so please give me like an order of best to worst(1.best)

Why not use the hammer valve? (That would be #2)

My .02

Ball valve:

Slow opening time no matter what you do.(a matter of opinion)
Spring operation is nearly as complex as the hammer valve.

Hammer valve:

The best option you presented.
The most complex option you presented.

Blow gun:

These have two purposes in the "spudding world", as the main valve in a bbmg, and to pilot a real valve. :)

It's your gun, you decide.

But ask yourself, "How dedicated am I to the project?", before you start.

The answer will guide you to the right decision.

This is a hammer valve.

This link has now been posted in THIS thread three (that's 3!) times.

In the picture below, you can see a hammer valve and the related parts.

Ohh THATS a hammer valve! i have one oops...Ok so that is going on my rifle, funny how easy that was! I even have it lieing around some where so thats not a problem. How should i seal of my barrel( hammer valve is 4mm barrel 8..)i could fill it up with lead at one end(2-4cm), let it cool, drill a hole and then solder it together, any other ideas?

The one in the link would function more like that in an Airforce Stealth.

See the pictures below.
