Not bad on the video front. It's always fun shooting the crap out of a broken piece of electronics or hardware.
I've done the same many a time. In fact, I shot up one of my old watches with my air rifle not that long ago.

...If anyone is wondering why I used my air rifle, and not a cannon, you try reliably hitting a target 1.5" across at anything other than point blank with a smoothbore launcher.
Also, I wanted to be able to find at least some of the remains.

So was I. Out of the three plums fired, only one had to be cut by the barrel to fit, I thought that the plub would just turn to gob and fall apart, but it held together quite well.

The other plums fit perfectly, which I was quite happy about, though I can't say I noticed a difference in power.

BTW, I do take suggestions. I'm always look for new ideas, new camera angles etc etc

So far my main camera angles are, side one, directly on top of the cannon and on the diagonal.

I like the impact the golf ball left, that piece deserves to cut out and hung on your wall or be made into an avatar for yourself.

Your above post says suggestions so...

Put your camera in a box diagonally behind the target and get a nice slo-mo shot of the projectile coming towards the target.

Get a big broken lcd tv (with the lcd panel broken) and shoot that. I have one sitting in my basement I've been itching to shoot for a while now.

try a regular CRT TV or Monitor. Those have high vacuums, so thats always fun

I have before with a 30" TV. Very dangerous. Although the golf ball shattered the screen, it rebounded at least 60m behind me and landed on someones roof.

Hang the camera 5 feet directly above the target.

Hmm that would be interesting, quite difficult but interesting.

String a line from tree to tree or from what ever to what ever, then hang the camera.

I don't have a good place to hang the camera from. If you just hang it from the strap the weight will force to to hang on an angle and even then I wouldn't be comfortable hanging a $500 camera above a target. I've seen shrapnel fly directly up plenty of times.

Is there really any safe place with a good angle? Plexiglass protection??? I was also thinking above your shooting posistion behind you. Does your camera have X? zoom? Mine has X2 and at 50 yards it looks like your 1 inch from the target.

I'd just be more worried about it being directly above because it could always fall 5'.

I'm thinking about plexiglass, though it's quite expensive last I recall. About $30 for a 30cm by 30cm sheet.

My camera has 40x optical zoom, and 2000x digital zoom (which i've disabled as it's pointless). In all the shots I never zoomed the camera much more then 10x probably. It may look closer because I got Sony Vegas to crop the video so it wouldn't letterbox too much.

perhaps some sheet acrylic would be cheaper?
