Maybe, maybe not. Most household appliances like dishwashers, washing machines, furnaces, water heaters ... have a 24V transformer. It is extremely dangerous (and frowned upon by safety organizations like UL) to have mains power anywhere near water or large amounts of sheet metal. There is almost always an isolation transformer that also steps down the voltage.jonnyboy wrote: The valve probably converts for dc anyway since it's using mains power.
