And give me reason to finally sit down with mine and work out the various bugs and stuff and post it already.

Well to answer ramses i plan on going to a max of 11x due to multiple things such as
-air compressor
-safety factor
-lack of remote ignition
-need ear protection
-parents

Wow so i was just messing around with hdgt and according to it you could shoot a golf ball 1423 fps and 3070 ft/ibs of energy with a five foot barrel.

ok jon i love you know haha. All things put aside Holy Crap! What was the burst pressure of the disk and mix number ? Now i have to test it  .

That is more energy than a 10 gauge shotgun. I gotta stop before......

Go ahead and say it Jon !!!

Starman: I was thinking installing audio plugs attached to all my guns and using them as the plug. It would look a lot better, time to cut up some audio cords !

I don't know what to say except I am speechless and I gotta build one, but on a slightly smaller scale.

Well my audio XLR jacks are running low voltage (14.4v) around to the fan and the trigger. You can't run HV through one of those so you should mount the XLR jack in your ghetto ignition box for now. Then you could plug a standard XLR cable in to it, build a remote switch box and connect the other end of the cable to it....fire remotely.

O ok put ghetto box next to gun. Then rewire ignition switch to XLR jack. Wait the switch has all the current pass through it so that would include the jack i failed to include the relay as most people do due to the fact it added unnessacary parts. Starman if I am understanding this wrong maybe a diagram would help .

What ever switch you are using now to fire with is the thing you could extend to an XLR...it can handle the battery current just fine. In my case, I'm simply switching the low voltage power to the stun gun. I assume you are switching the battery in and out of the circuit. I hope you aren't switching the HV directly...

Edit: In looking at your box again, I don't think you are....

I think I'm being dumb right now i still dont get it. The on/off is battery which is on at all times while shooting. The black is the charger. Red fires.

What is so bad about switching it directly ? I'm not very good at electronics just the basics.

OK here's a schematic. Hopefully this will help...

The triggering is all at the low voltage side. The HV from the stun gun attaches directly to the spark strip.

This of course was my configuration that allows cannon chaining and remote firing. You can do the same thing with one XLR if you don't want the chaining. Plug in an XLR cable to connect to your remote box and configure any kind of switch there that will short pin 2 and 3...that will fire the stun gun.

Ok yea i understand that. Wish i had a stun gun. I only have access to camera parts but i think that if i wire in the relay then i can use the XLR cable. Also will probaly buy a new project box that isnt ghetto.
