I would have just posted this;
I absolutely love this new-found hobby! The recent posting of the "Thunderchine", pushed me slightly farther over the edge, to build something a little bigger than my spot-welded party-popper. I've been lucky thus far, after making an altered-version of Beck's 3lb. Thermojet, and another out of an oil filter casing, which I got from work.

Someone... please - Steer me in the right direction towards the proper way to calculate nozzle diameters? It would make this SO much easier.
No need to be a dick about things, you clearly don't know who DR is, he is one of the pioneers of spudgunning and a RESPECTED member of the community.
I was just stating what people like to find in a post not necessarily what he did wrong. I should have made things more clear that he was only an offender of writing a long post. I wasn't trying to offend you or be a dick. I apologize if it felt like I was.

Since when has having the capacity to compose a lengthy post become an offense? If you insisted on commenting on DR in the first place (no comment at all would have been ideal) it should have been to thank him for his knowledge- something in short supply on this forum and many others.

My original post was about what I look for in a quality post. I never said he was asking to be spoon fed or had bad grammar. In fact it's quite the opposite.

What I was trying to get across was that people or more likely to read a short post with a little back round information and then the question. I would bet that maybe 50/60 of those viewers (that potentially had the answer) went and hit the back button almost immediately.

If you want answers it's best to put them in a format that every one can get the "just" out of fast.

Any more discussion regarding this should be kept to PM's.
