I'm mildly disturbed.

Damn. I can't get that kind of power out of any of my actual airsoft guns. That's a pretty impressive mini.
Neither can I. And I have a Orange custom KSC USP compact (tightbore, 150% hammer/ recoil springs, high output magazine valves, shooters design slide/ barrel) and it can only go though the top of an aluminum can.

My slightly upgraded tokyo marui AUG cant even penetrate the top of a can, but will just barely go through both sides.

I wanted to see what kind of range this little cannon was capable of, and what kind of ballistic characteristics the bb exhibits at those velocities and without a hopup. So I took a shot out my apartment window down an empty alleyway. Normally using white bb's it is easy to see the bb's in the air, like with my other airsoft guns. But this cannon, I saw the bb for only a fraction of a moment, going dead straight, then flying completely out of sight.

I am totally impressed with the performance of this little cannon. And I think the performance is largely due to the rubber washer that holds the bb and releases it once pressure builds. If I just drop the bb in at the muzzle, so the washer isnt gripping the bb, performance is really lousy. When the bb is in the washer, the cannon takes on a whole new light. It practically has the same exact function as a burst disc. I just need to keep the washer lubed up with 100% silicone oil so it keeps its elasticity. anyone who is making a combustion airsoft cannon, seriously consider my rubber washer idea.

hmm so when you load it you put it in the chamber, fit it the washer and then put the swan neck thing back on? pretty sweet cannon

Almost, the rubber washer is epoxied to a larger metal washer all epoxied to the breech end of the barrel. So when I load it, I just push a bb into the rubber washer at the breech, then screw on the 'swan neck', fuel up and fire.

...or is that what you're saying?

ohh i think i get it now, one last question, what are you using on the end of the syringe? and what did you use to stick the syringe into to inject the fuel into the chamber? I might have to build one of these :D

the fill valve is an airsoft gas gun magazine fill valve. I got mine from an old magazine. You can buy extra refill valves though: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/a ... odID=26229

The thing at the end of the syringe is the nozzle of a butane can, epoxied on.
