On the flow issue: I'd like to point out that a 1" sprinkler valve, because of all it's bends and restrictions, only has the flow of a 9/16" ballvalve.

Yeah how do u connect the ball valve to pvc does it just screw into 1/2 threaded adapter? and yes a auto motive shrader like this can be bought at a lawn mower shor for 4 bucks and hooks easily to a bike pump.
Edit: and dont double post

They sell ball valves in both threaded and solvent weld varieties. Both are about the same cost, and both are fairly common.

LIST GO BYE BYE

yeah this is a nice cannon but you should reconsider using a tire version shrader valve they are not that safe because they have no threads and i dont believe are solvent weldable. Use an air tank version shrader valve and reducing bushings its much safer.

Thanks for the list, but could you please explain to me what socket weld, npt and pipe mean? Sorry, I'm new to this. Also, where does the nipple go in this cannon?

Use google, because asking "what does NPT mean" makes you look REALLY dumb to all but the newest members. I mean, seriously... you should be embarassed to ask such easily-googlable answears. (And I'v checked the google-ability of them before, so I'm know they are easy to find the answear to.)

What are you talking about solvent welding a shrader valve? He just drilled a hole and popped it in. The automotive ones are designed to just be popped into the rim or whatever of a tire.
