For mandril bent pipe for high pressure water/steam, Weldbend in Chicago makes these mandril bent parts. It's fun to watch this machine work. It doesn't reduce the diameter like a typical muffler pipe bender does. The down side is bring your banker with you. This is industrial stuff. The red is hot elbows.

Photo on the home page shows the induction heated parts being bent as they are pushed over the mandril. I had an opportunity to tour this place.
I hope a couple 2 inch thick steel parts don't add too much weight. I thought my PVC tennis ball launcher was too heavy
Is this to be truck mounted?

The breech could be opened and closed with a simple threaded sleeve that one would place on the barrel and either locktite or solder on.
I like the design but for me it would be easier to make a co-ax rather than the bent barrel design.
The breech sleeve could also be made to hold a burst disk against the barrel so that would get rid of one extra part for myself (burst disc union). This would restrict flow a little because of the seat for the burst disc but the effect would be outweighed because of easier loading.
It's a fairy simple design but i like simple, the simpler the better.

Someone said they could make the whole gun for $600 though I thought? I think materials alone would cost more than half that.

I *could* make this design fo the price of getting pipe bent and maybe a few "o" rings. The major part is the time sourcing free materials (which can be done btw) and my time machining the parts.
Total cost would be around $20 and a carton of beer.
If labour AND materials were included i would quote a cost of around $2000.

i am still at the exam but i will write a bit.
the barrel (do you know my hybrid barrel? the ony with the connection at 3m) will be cut about 1m from one of the conections, welded to a 2" nipple to thread it into the chamber and bent, then i have the camlock ready and a full 3m barrel length.
no way i spend that much on fittings i don't absolutely need!
not truck mounted but it might be impossible to lift since it is going to be darn heavy and long. mabe a bipod will be made. i will add it to the 3D modell as soon as i get home.
the barrel support sould work fine with the breech system it will get, simply open the clamps on the breech and slide the barrel forward.
the problem is that i would never give that setup more then 4x so i will get an union on the chamber for high mix shots.
moonbogg: you do realize that i got inspiration from the venom? that thing is just a charm!
i might end up using the other (unused) 2m of leftover barrel to the barrel support (ironic?

) and then i can use it to store golf balls to.
the rings around the barrel will be made from plate or round stock, i will see what i can afford. plate would work fine since i could put the weld downwards so it is hidden by the barrel support.
painting will be done with spraying, i can't find a way to powdercoat without burning my wallet.
the meter will be made from ordinary malleable fittings, but they will be sandblasted and painted.
a good summary? more to come as soon as i get home

no problem!
my chamber is done, it has a OD of 125mm and 7mm steel walls and it is 60cm long.
i will make the barrel about 3.5m long, with an OD of 50mm and ID of 42mm.
the handles will probably be 1.5" aluminium pipes.
so i don't know what to say, it's made of bouth steel and aluminium.
the parts i will have to make will probably be mede of aluminium tho.

As I mentioned;

If you are building a 500 PSI golf ball launcher, this is the right stuff!

It is the stuff the pumpkin chunkin folks use. They make the fittings from 1/2 inch to 48 inch. It's mostly industrial, nuke, refinery and city water plant parts. It's not the Home Depot stuff.
An FYI. The T is made from straight seamless pipe. It is put into a die (Mold) filled with oil and a hydraulic ram squeezes the pipe shorter in the die. Hydraulic pressure makes the side on the T. After forming, the top is cut off the middle leg of the T. Fun to watch. I had no idea they made the parts this way. This is seamless malleable iron, not brittle cast iron parts.

well, all the parts that is going to handle pressure is taken care of, i have UPGBH10x, just gonna build it in a more compact way.
the malleable fittings will only have to take the pressure of a 10x PREIGNITION shot. thats about 140-150psi.
i might be able to make this, but it will take me time.
and do you think two big beefy hoseclamps will hold one handle to the chamber? thats two on each handle.
a 4x mix in that thing with a lead slug kicks pretty bad!

2 hose clamps per handle is really strong. Make sure they are spread apart far enough for evenly balanced strength. Is this build in progress? Can we have some pics?

It would take cutting in a union of some kind on the barrel .maybe victaulic coupling, to covert from pneumatic to hybrid .
