If the lack of popularity of this obscure Weihrach modelis anything to go by, apparently dieseling airguns are not an economically viable proposal.

yeah maybe... but you won't know unless you test it...

Maybe a premix would be better with some kind of super light piston

but the point of this is increasing velocity and thus power without making it more complicated... if I wanted more power only I would build a light gas gun... but if it works then it would be possible to adapt this to semi auto/full auto guns without adding much complexity
