JSR, those guns are beautiful, just pretty expensive.

They are... but not if you think in price per hour paying someone to do them for you. Then I guess they are cheap.

If all you want is a single shot affair, a 1/2" calibre co-axial in a 1" chamber should do nicely, you could imitate the hammer mechanism to strike a schrader valve as a pilot.

2-shooter in fact... as a first project it will be plenty. I will try first to use the quick-connect solution that offers full power and compactness for my big .56 ammo. I wish to keep the shape of the gun as authentic as possible. That's part of my fun. With a co-axial, the barrel would be quite oversize for a handgun. Unless I make a Blunderbuss...hmmm...

After that I'll return to my 6-shooter idea, where I intend to make separate cartridges the Brocock way, as already discussed. This will certainly be .25 or .375 ammo.

But very first step will be a 1-shooter prototype with copper tubing, I have about everything to make it now. Just need to find the time

This could work assuming you manage an airtight seal at the detent, then you could just couple the release collar directly to a trigger et voila. Throw in a coyple more 0.56 balls and you have yourself a machine pistol

That's the big unknown... I will need to have the machine shop operational again to adjust that on the lathe. Not for tomorrow unfortunately

I am already thinking about a very simple trigger mechanism to release one cocked hammer or both (at the same time) with a single trigger press, compatible with those quick-connect fittings. You only need a 1/8" lateral translation of the external collar to release the ball on my bigger 3/8" quick-connect. That make things easy, again for compactness.
