Once you have a set up like a fridge compressor it will, besides for small repairs he and there if done properly(using a filter helps). Using a bulk tank is more expensive in the long run, a bulk tank may be difficult to refill as fill stations are not located every where. Also a bulk tank runs out fairly quickly with larger guns.

EDITED FOR COMPREHENABILITY(i made up a word, live with it!)

Well once you have a set up for your air it lasts for ever. A bulk take is done and needs refilling which is hard sometimes.
What John???... "lasts forever"..., "A bulk tank is hard to refill"???
What???
Me no comprende. and I read through everything too.(???)

EDIT:ok, Seems moar "comprehendable" now that it got edited...
Srry if I seemed like a jerk, (I was just being honest is all).

well I think he meant that not everyone lives in the US where CO2 is easy to get (due to popularity of paintball)

it's hard to find something simpler than a fridge compressor (at least from my perspective) you just have to remove it, wire it and add a few fittings and voila you've got a cheap HP pump... I suppose I built the first one in about 30 minutes - from removing it to starting it up...

if you add a some sort of air reservoir you really end up with a decent filling station - which cost you next to nothing
