This thing is just flat out sick. A fully self contained pneumatic rifle, I like it. Top notch man and I really like the appearance and design.

Shame you didn't wait until the contest to reveal it, would have certainly done well.

Now that is one of the best looking guns ive seen on this site. love the underlever pump action, and i reckon all the holes just make it look perfect.

GAH!@@ why the hell do people post such rubbish guns..

Jokes, love it. Very aesthetically pleasing and no doubts that it performs.. I like the internal pump as well. I do find it a slight bit of a shame you used a sprinkler valve, as a co-axial setup would have done nicely, with better performance.

Though I'm sure your happy with it, nice job

Edit: Jack, while it is very nice there's nothing incredibly new..I don't know if the pump would really count..

In order to demonstrate I have a larger vocabulary than most people seem to be using in this thread, I will be completing this post without use of the words amazing, awesome, great, nice, sick or sweet (beyond this note).

Firstly, I'm not sure your simple topic title is doing you many favours in getting the views this thing deserves. A bit more description in the title wouldn't hurt.

Secondly, "QEV valve" is tautological, because that's what the V in QEV stands for.

Thirdly, it's refreshing to see this level of effort and skill put into a cannon.
It probably deserves a place in the "Good technical examples" section on the spudwiki, given that it's probably the best attempt I've seen at a built-in pump on a spudgun.

Also, you said this thing was quite weighty, so that immediately prompts me to ask what it actually weighs.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

All hail the great Ragnarok, he has an extensive vocabulary that needs to be recognized. Your gun is very pulchritudinous(<--big word drop). I'm just having fun Ragnarok. I find it humorous when you correct people's english.

Freaking Damnit son of a b!

Just last week I was talking to Psycix about an integrated pump like that!
I made a prototype but kept it to myself so I could show it on my new design...

I've been having these " you beat me to it" moments too many times lately.

Just so you guys know...I modded a QEv in a way you would not believe...
Leave me something for the competition please!!
:D

This thing is unbelievable!!
It's like what everyone wishes they could build!!

You are welcome to work out the 500 PSI PVC chamber I posted on another thread.. :D I'm not building it. It may help in the second part of the contest.. :D If you need other ideas, PM me.. Lots of ideas, no budget.

I've had my share of schrapnell, thank you...

Some comments:

A larger diameter pump might be a good idea to get the number of strokes down.( As I was planning to do... )
Well..on the next one that is, I'd leave this one as it is.

There are short hoses out there that can take 3000 psi or more...
They are generally used in manual ( lithium)greasepumps..This might solve the hose problem.

If you have the capabilities to machine like this...why not build a proper bolt?
Also...This thing is begging for a scope.

As pleasing to the eye as it may be, in my opinion, it would look better if you would replace the curved bottom piece of the shoulderstock with a straight one.Makes it look more professional.

Anyhow...I want your machineshop!!!! :D
