The easiest way for you to go pneumatic with one sp valve would be to get a saftey release valve that only releases at a higher pressure than your chamber would be filled to and thread it straight into the valve. That way you can pull it open with a string!!!

I had a 1/4 solenoid valve connected to a air horn to scare the birds out of my dads vegi garden. But the neighbors didn't like it. it was at like 150 psi. Defiantly louder than the horn before with the stock can. It worked great but it would also scare the birds.
It was on a electric timer i made at tafe. i put it in a box and covered all except the horn on/off swich and air line in gutter silicone

i thought about that but would that let air out fast enuf to make it worth moding it?

safety release valves would defenetly release it fast enough to set of a sp valve

If all you want to do is scare the squirrel, a straight up sprinkler valve totaly unmodified would do everything you want. After all, that honking that we don't like for performance reasons would annoy the hell out of a squirrel for other reasons.
Otherwise, I'd say buy a QEV and a solenoid valve. Done. And done right instead of all the jury-rigging required to run one sprinkler valve off of another.
