That could amount to slander, so could a front page warning. No body wants to pick up the legal fee's proving it's not. That could put Spudfiles right out of business. American courts are very tempermental about fine line cases like this.
The way around "slander" (actually it's "libel" not "slander" since slander is spoken) is to just be careful with your choice of words.
A review, since it is an opinion, is never "slander", since it is not possible to disprove an opinion. To libel/defame/slander someone you must be making a claim of fact.
So something like "
XYZ's gun's are POS and will kill you" may be defamation if it is false. Whereas "
In my opinion, XYZ's gun's are POS and will kill you" is not defamation since it is clearly an opinion and not a statement of fact. An opinion does not have to be true.

I do agree it would be wise to post a trusted spudcannon website list. Better yet, We should have a seperate discussion area on spudfies. It would allow reviews of certain websites, feedback from various customers and a general warning against certain sites.

Oh and by the way, I emailed him. He claims the pneumatic cannons are made from pressure rated PVC. Hard to be certain with such small pictures as you can buy pressure rated fittings that look like DWV.
