I just noticed the forward grip mount on your modgun (coax with 4" chamber?). I've been looking for something like that for a 6" chamber currently under construction. Did you fabricate it? if so, I'd be interested in construction details. The two forward mounting points are obvious, but how did you mount the two rearward points? looks sort of like a modified repair coupling.

The above link shows more detail of the handle(a raptor250 atv bumper)... I constructed it from 14gauge sheet metal(wrapped it around a piece of scrap 4"pvc)...

jeepkahn: Thanks for the quick reply.

I think I'll try to avoid purchasing ATV parts for now, and see first if I can bend one up. The tubular part looks like about 1" OD tube, bent on a 2" inside radius. Is that abou right, and is the tube made of aluminum or steel? I'm not sure if I can bend 1" EMT on that tight a radius, even if it is packed with sand and heated to glowing with a torch. I'll have to try and see.

About how thick are the plates on the forward mounting points?

I manage a bike shop service dept. so the bumper was free(taken off for an upgrade)... 1" is about right, it's steel, and the radius is about 2"... the forward mounting points are 14ga or 12ga... did the other thread show enough detail on the bodystrap??? you could actually make triangular side plates for the bolting up and then use a wooden handle between them as the actual handhold...

The other thread showed enough detail.

I had flat side plates with a straight handle in mind before I saw your version. I'll still use it if the bending gets too difficult. Thanks for the suggestion. The rear attachment points on the barrel clamp were the real break-through.
