I have to stress that the design is really something new...
most guns on here are piston valves, which have to be piloted.... that adds complexity as there have to be two valves not just one

also notice that there have been quite a lot of guns which use 3 way valves to improve rate of fire without wasting to much air

this design can combine both of those functions into one relatively simple valve.... It might be to early to say it's something ground breaking but I can see it's potential
