Why not use a small scuba bottle instead of a paintball bottle and use a 3/4" npt threaded valve made of stainless. Would get the flow rate up a lot...

This guy has made a very nice piece of equipment, It looks very well made and he uses a very strange regulater that has a constant pressure of 82...
