Are you thinking of using indexable carbide or HSS?

carbide to start, and then i'l buy a grinder and hss to make my own tools.

The best lathe that i could have would be the 7 x 12, and you are talking of 3000 $ one, damit!

i would also buy a mini drill/mill to make things such as casings.

I really need a way to gain money by crafting and electronics(only thing that differentiate me from other peoples).

And idea i played around with was melting scap alli into ingots and then selling those...

Or design something useful, make a proto type, get a patent, have say three built and try selling them.

Or try things like self made chess pieces, or the life, people will buy those off you.

I like the knife idea, what steel do you use, where do you get it and how did you find your customers?

I am sorry but, even though the blue print does make sense, to a degree, it doesn't mean you BUILT it, if oyu can take a pic of a "blue print" can't you take one of your gun?

for knifes i use 0.8% carbon steel,from knife supplies shop and i just sell them to my friends.
