Got some o-rings today so I can seal the chamber at the barrel junction and try for a 2x mix with foil or scored soda can burst disk. Calculations show that if I pressurize the chamber at 2x and the disk bursts at 40psi, I should get >1,000 fps with the plastic ball ammo, and still be within safe pressures for this design. That's 300 ft lbs! Need to be careful not to shoot through a wall or a garage door...

UPDATE: was not able to get the chamber to seal. I think the threaded coupling between the chamber and the barrel is leaking. Tried Teflon tape - may need to try again with more tape.

Apologies in advance for raising this super-old thread, but it was either that or start a new thread with an old cannon. I finally got around to giving this launcher a well-deserved facelift. I also added a forward handle which makes it easier to hand hold.
