Demon: Yes, that is my understanding of the law. So if I want to keep it unregistered, I need to be below the 500fps limit. In other words, firing a canon ball at 499fps is quite okay in our beautiful country :-D

Are you sure about your estimation of speed?
playing with GGDT give me no figure close to that. Unless you have a mighty high pressure! And 8 bike pump stroke will not give you that.

Nice drawings, thanks POLAND_SPUD!

Some interesting concepts, I need to explore more paintball guns designs
Though those designs are not that easy to replicate. Far from it! LOTS of parts that need good adjustment. I sure will keep those in mind too for a future project semi auto/auto, when I have more experience with pressure.

My little design could basically be made without machine tools.

heh they are not mine.... credit goes to this guy

Ik now they are complicated.. I've been trying to desing something that would operate more less like them but would be simple to machine

Have a look here
can you see that block of aluminium there that joins all the parts and serves as housing for the loading mechanism?? I think it is possible to build a valve in a similar way

I modified one drawing... I think it could be simplified even more

I mean thanks for sharing :-) And a nice link for me to keep...
I have to explore and think about your design/build... nicely done!

But for now I'm quite happy with the concept of single pressurized ammo. Small quantity of air to handle, lots of power, good enough for a beginner and a gun with a few shots in it. I didn't dare wandering in the semi/auto world... yet!

Your winter seems to be as hard as mine :-D

It looks like you dont know what you are talking about ...

A 20 oz co2 paintball tank ( 30 ci ) filled to 160 psi by a bike pump and regged to 125 psi gives me 8 500 fps .4 g 6mm shots.

one bike pump is 40 ci, make the math

that's just something I might build one day...
It will improve and simplify things a lot. Right now I need: a QEV, a T/loading mech and an air cylinder. This thing could combine all those parts into one rectangual block of aluminium and could be built to handle + 1000 psi pressures

If you are looking for something simple you might just buy a QEV. If you live in France you can probably get one cheaply from BTB
I didn't dare wandering in the semi/auto world
It's both frustrating and rewarding at the same time :D
Your winter seems to be as hard as mine
Temperatures now are close to 0 degree C so it has improved a lot. But I've heard that the situation is pretty bad in some countries in western europe.

Lol I am tired of shovelling all that snow every two days or so

Hold your horses Demon. No need to be aggressive. It was just a question.
I just wrongly read you numbers, my bad. I read 8.43 gram for a pellet, I can see now it was .43 I should have guess it was for airsoft ammo, looking at your picture :-)

The picture is an pcp EDgun, and my 3 way valve airgun design is almost identical in look exept that the air reservoir (under) that is out of the airtank is a paintball tank .

Too bad i cant machine right now ...
