Same here.

On some sites where the advertising is way too intrusive, I have other ways to deal with page killing ads. Here they are not intrusive, so I permit the ads as they help pay for the bandwidth. Please do not use an adblock on sites where the advertising does little harm.

A note to the site admin. checking that the advertisements are not interfering with the site content and functionality is important to prevent users looking for other means to view the content. Floaters, pop overs, under, time waits are all reasons that flash-block or other measures are used. In the worst case, a reason to stop viewing entirely.

This is the main reason I rarely visit Yahoo anymore. Google is making the money on advertising. There is a reason.

I am NOT using an ad block here and won't consider it while the ads are not disruptive. I understand it pays for the site.

I know that... I just think it's pointless to have the notification telling you to click something that is only visible on the search page.

Jeez doesn't bother me, I was just... well I don't freaking know!
EDIT: That function is for e-mail notification, not the pop-up one.

You can still go to your inbox without the popup window. Just click the 1 new message thing where it tells you the days stats like the new posts and whatnot
