Thanks for makin me look like an ass BLB.

If you look at a rifled barrel of Joel's you will know that it is only grooved in about a thenth of the way at most. And as you said, that doesn't give the pipe such a bad pressure rating because of its relatively high rating to begin with which was my point exactly when I said "It's not so "weakened" as SpudStuff says." I was explaining that the pressure limit is still fine to do just about anything you would do with it before being rifled.

I don't own any, but looking at the pictures on the spudtech website, it looks like it's closer to 1/3rd. Of course, if you own some, be welcome to tell me that he machined the example he is showing on his website to different dimentions than normal.

Sorry for my previous tone, but I point out that spudstuff only said "weakened PVC".
He didn't indicate any degree of weakness, so your statment was interpreted as "it's not weakened"... which would be a really stupid thing to say.

I geuss my point is that you should be a bit more carefull in your scentence structure. It creates real hassles when someone calls you on a perceived error.

Yes, I have a few rifled barrels and really there isn't much at all cut into them. I'd be surprised if it were anything even relatively close to a tenth. It also depends which pictures you look at on the site. I believe Joel may have experimented with different depths at times. There are some pictures that seem quite deep, others are more shallow, and some are like optical illusions and seem to go both ways.

Also, sorry for any semantic confusion.
