If your a new rider the 250r is nice to start of on, its very forgiving and inexpensive. However, as everyone else is saying it won't be enough power for the highway. Look into the ninja 500r.
Ninja 250r Specs: 0-60mph 5.75 sec, top speed 105mph.
Ninja 500r Specs: 0-60mph 3.76 sec, top speed 135mph.

I beg your pardon.
Why shouldn't my intentions reward me with disposable income?
Many folks seem to think that they are worthless.

It was a joke, Stu. I really don't care how much more money people have than me.

Mark,
I love it when a friend makes more money than me.
I am more proud of my $100 elevator that I would be had I purchased a $20,000 commercial model.
Being really cheap is a major hobby of mine.

Why don't you try to build your own motorcycle?
It's possible with a basic welding machine.

Okey, this is my babe. Tunturi "Tuna" Break 1985, has about 52cc and puts roughly about 3.5hp (normal its like 1.5 but its easy to file little more

). It has fitted 3" longer front spork and the seatle is from other bike. Not to mention the .30cal box in the back

. Longest trip with this has been 200km whit 4 gas refills. This is not for a 900mile trip but its fun bike
What do ya think?[/list]
