Push fittings for low pressure purposes such as drainage/downpipes.

Yeah the technicality for putting PVC pipes together is "welding" them. You use PVC primer (usually purple) and PVC cement (usually clear). Instead o jus glueing them together, it actually melts or fuses the PVC parts together...
