Sag, I think the rubber washer he used is inaccessible, but I may he wrong. Essentially it's a rubber washer squeezed in a threaded fitting.

It is a old thread, and normally people are against kicking up old threads, even through it´s revelant.
Now, to answer your question:
You can use a 5.5mm ID tube(depends your ammo) to cut a hole in a washer, then cut the OD of the washer until it fits.
