(Semi)auto combustion?

I can't think of an easy mechanism to do the latter right now because I'm tired. JSR where are you?

That'll work fine as long as it can stay closed during combustion.

You may be able to fit the rod inside the bolt itself if you work at it. That will probably reduce the number of holes in the chamber/barrel walls

I'll try to think of a more elegant solution tomorrow. So far this is one of the few auto- combustion designs I'd bet money on.
