Certainly looks interesting, one could solder a brass tee to the outlet, with a little work it could be a very good start to a hammer valve.

I'll have a look at those for sure.

Looks like the bleed screw is on the side
Thats not actually a bleed screw, its a hole that runs all the way through the adapter.. possible so the adapter can be unscrewed from the bottle

That's strange, the adapter is almost identical to mine except for that. Does gas vent out of the hole when the pin is depressed? Unless i'm missing something the pin valve would have to seal before this hole if, like you said, the hole runs through the middle of the adapter.

Yeah I thought it was wack too..
nope no gas comes out the hole, Im guessing the air goes around it or something.. No idea

The unit the bottle screws into has an o ring that seals on the top just above the threads. As the bottle is screwed on, the adaptor presses the valve opening it after the o ring seals. I don't know what the small hole is on the side is for.

Again, for safety please don't try to unscrew the valve retainer in the top with CO2 in it. Release all the pressure before doing anything to the valve.

Yep.. Unfortunately the thing is in there so friggin tight I cant get it loose anyway

try heat it up around the thread to releasee any glue, but make sure you empty all the gas and liquid co2. thats how i got the top of my fire extinguisher

Im thinking Ill just leave it in considering I have the adapter on its way.. I just hope the adapter thread will then fit the regulator thread haha.. Why cant everything just be standard :roll:

Does anybody know what pressure quick connect fitting are rated to? The type that are commonly used on airtools etc that just push and click in..
And also, I'm guessing the gauge on the regulator I linked earlier reads the pressure of the tank? Not the pressure being output to the system?
Can anybody confirm this.

iv have used QC at 600psi but they are near impossible to remove passed 300

yea both halfs have a check valve in them, idk how much they cost all what they are called i get them free from work.

I just called up IFS down the road and asked for something like them.. They had a nitto fitting which was rated for 700psi, but it was $47 and $20 for the other side connection :(
Thats a bit out of my price range unfortunately.

When you say near impossible to connect, how hard are we talking? Like no chance I would get it off safely at 600psi?
