I just thought of this, it sticks better to the original QDV design:

Take 2 bushings (1 inch x 3 inch maybe?), and sand out the ridges. Over the bushings, put 3 inch couplers, then PVC pipe between them. Put the pipe which holds the piston straight through both bushings, then solvent weld her up. Voila!

That is the way my ABS cannon is built. 2 inch barrel in 4 X 2 inch bushings in 4 inch couplers with 4 inch pipe in between. Ridge is sanded out on the bushings so the 2 inch pipe goes through them. :)

I assembled my cannon from the breech and moved forward. The rear bushing was installed on the pipe, a coupler added, then the chamber pipe. A 2nd 4 inch coupler was added and last the muzzle end bushing. This last bushing is the one that is not pushed all the way in as it became stuck in assembly.

This photo is the breech end showing the barrel, rear bushing, and rear coupling just prior to adding the 4 inch chamber.

Doh. Should have remembered that one.

Has anyone made a QDV in a tee? I think that might be my first pneumatic gun.

I meant with the chamber attached to the bottom of the tee like an over under.

That should work just as well.

Not a true QDV because the piston cannot move on the rod.

A nice cannon, but it doesnt help me much cause that is small diameter brass/copper (I cant tell which) tee, and I am thinking of basing mine around a 2" PVC tee.

Who says a QDV's piston has to be able to slide freely?

So scale it up in plastic, lol. I gave you the link to give you an idea, not a blueprint to copy off of.
