Speaking of CAD monitors, I use my Sony 46 inch for CAD via HDMI as well as the home entertainment system monitor.
Ask any lady, those 4 inches make all the difference

My workspace is pretty much everywhere, and is removed without a trace upon completion of a project. Sort of like lovemaking quarters for an intermarriage couple not yet with the courage to elope...
But seriously, I get things done.

It might suck sitting indian style for hours at a time on a piece of cardboard making a piston for a pump or valve, but it gets done...
EDIT: My favorite all time spudding work area... the one man bunk bed.
