I'm interested!
My participation depends on the load of school work I get next year...

If I understand this challenge correctly the guns don't have to be machined at all...?! The main criteria is to build a gun/launcher that looks as clean as possible without any trace of gethoness.
Or did I misunderstand the rules?

Let me clear some things up:
A challenge is different from a competition in wich someone wins a prize.
My idea is to challenge
each other to build the cleanest looking and functioning cannon you can.
The only prize is the cannon you've built and that means everybody wins.
On a personal level:
I need to challenge myself and if a couple of more guys do the same I feel I can drive myself to build in another level above just putting some fittings together.
Hence the masterclass idea.
It would be stupid to put any more rules to it.
If you would like to take up this challenge than please do so, just know that there are members out here that WILL put out some amazing stuff.
The results will be an inspiration for all.
So what could be unfair about that?

Translation:
Man I'm keen as a bean to get my gun finished, although I'm nowhere near finished
I know that keyboard discipline isn't necessarily a reflection of someone's personality or capabilities, but sometimes I wonder in what sort of hands the dangerous knowledge on this forum is ending up in.
Here's a lowest denominator appeal, the comment technique description sounds about right for some of the posts on spudfiles

Okay..maybe it's time to revive this thing
I think I've "won"
At least:
My idea is to challenge each other to build the cleanest looking and functioning cannon you can.
The only prize is the cannon you've built and that means everybody wins.
On a personal level:
I need to challenge myself and if a couple of more guys do the same I feel I can drive myself to build in another level above just putting some fittings together
.
Now how about some other entries ?( You're NOT competing with ME, remember)
I'll start on a semi or full auto( select?) stickmag fed shortbarreled PCP in the new year...See if I can pull of something even cleaner.

Hey btb,
have you ever thought about getting this made into a big ol' 'official' contest for spring 2012?
With this thing being finished it might finally give people and idea of what to shoot for with their entries.
