The only thing that can go wrong is the piston, if you make sure it's adequately supported (ie not having a thin barrel digging into it) and self lubricating then it should last a lifetime.

that's completely right. I paid attention to these things hence the reason this gun is still alive (the endurance record so far for all my micro pneumatics
) On my last plastic marker gun, the plastic barrel bent causing the piston to not be able to seal

But I had 8mm brass laying around and extra barrel pipe, so why not

cool so will it have the same id barrel? The brass is going to look great compared to my copper. good luck!
