Define "losing air".
Are you saying air is being used for purposes other than propelling the projectile?

That valve works by using the barrel as the hammer. It's a very compact design but it has an absolutely ridiculous trigger weight. When you pull the trigger it pushes the barrel against a spring then lets it loose to hit the valve. You could modify this using lever action to lighten the trigger pull.

Lets just say i dont have that barrel lever spring thing, only the valve

I have not seen this kind of valve before, enlighten me does the gas come out of the area surrounding the valve or through the hole in the middle? when the centre pin is pushed? if it comes through the centre I may be able to help :)

Yes yes the middle rod is pressed which releases gas rgeough center hole

If you have ever used a co2 powered bb gun then you have used this valve. I have yet to see a bb gun with a poppet or spool valve so I'm fairly sure that this is the only valve used.

First of all, that pistol isn't lame, I'd be overjoyed if I could buy a CO2 pistol over here without a license, for that price. If I recall, cammyd resides in Australia like myself, so I doubt he's come across one either.

Now, more on topic here's some links http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/p-2-ver ... 12712.html, http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/p-3-sta ... 12220.html, http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/p-4-sem ... 12216.html and http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/slide-v ... 12833.html.

All found in the first 6 pages of the BBMG showcase, look for semi auto designs.

I must be sick, I didn't even flame. Must be my joy at the return of /r9k/ :D

its not lame its just built a little crappily. Im not going for semi auto the plan was to achieve continuous flow from this hammer valve in order to have an unreggulated co2 source. Im building a high pressure cloud (probably)

I still don't get it... meh

Ok here is an idea, if you get a bit of tubing that will fit snugly into the middle hole and glue it or attach it in place so you don't get air wastage around the edges then from the bit of that tubing protruding you can epoxy in place any size of pipe bore you wish for a barrel ect. also if supported in another place along the barrel you could attach a trigger to the pipe which means that if you pull the tube backwards it will release gas. but be warned! as some other members have pointed out you will get a "tank dump" of gas in the co2 canister, which means a lot of pressure in a very small time. here is a pic,
feel fee to ask questions, I have a habit of never explaining things properly :)

If you cant figure that out i don't think you should be playing with ungred co2.
