soldering metals other than copper

well, I'm looking for a cheap way to get 250 psi, most likely a fridge compressor, for now all i can get is 150 at most.

personaly i would braze it, better safe then sorry


(Interesting. I remember seeing a post on here that said that a typical solder joint would be rated to about 3000 PSI, including safety factor.)

i have personally tested regular water supply soldered joints up to 800 psi, no leaks with a hydrostatic pressure test( hook it up and pump water in at high levels of pressure)

and no blow outs

if 150 psi is all your going to, you will be fine

make sure you clean the fittings very well and use flux, im assuming you already know that but just putting it out there
